Ailments Report

It's a lazy afternoon at the house. Everyone is tired. We had family over last night and someone decided to stay up late. I wasn't that someone. I was in bed by 10:30pm last night and didn't wake up until almost 7:30am this morning. And why is that, when I get plenty of sleep that it makes me so tired? Hmm? HMMM??

I think it's allergies, so I've started taking my meds again just in case. I also think that's why I've been so damned dizzy all day. AND I snagged a couple of my dad's canes (he collects the things) to use until my feet start feeling better. There's no end in sight for that, I tell ya. Just when I think they're feeling better, a whole new pain arises.

Let me take a moment to step back and tell the story of my visit to the doctor's office.

While everything was going on with Diana, I found a dark spot on my temple that concerned me. At the same time, my feet started to hurt...a lot. So, I visited my friendly doctor to get a referral to a dermatologist and a podiatrist. During the appointment, my doctor told me that the dark spot on my forehead is an age spot (while I'm perfectly happy with) and that the pain in my feet is caused my osteoarthritis. She also inspected a different spot on my arm and told me that I have a skin cancer there. Yay. I have an appointment for that this week.

To quote the doctor: "Don't worry about it. They'll just freeze it right off." Note: THERE'S NOTHING THERE TO FREEZE OFF!!

The canes are helping me get around, so that's good. You may have picked up that I said I took two canes? Well, that's right. I actually have a favorite, but the favorite one lacks a little rubber nub on the bottom and it slips out from under me on tile floors, so I grabbed one that already has one. The problem is, the one that I CAN use has a brass handle (in the shape of an eagle's head) and the brass makes my hand smell bad. Otherwise, I'd like it. Odd reason for not liking a cane, but valid in my head.

So, I'm walking with a cane, sporting an age spot and going to get my skin cancer removed.

I don't feel old. I don't feel old. I don't feel old.

I really don't. -shrug-
