So anyway.

Wow, it's been a while and what a busy while it's been! Busy for me. Busy for the world.

Where to begin. Hmm.

Well, let's start with the obvious. One of my favorite cities died last month. I'll go ahead and say it, because everyone else is saying how they'll rebuild and move on. Oh, I know they'll rebuild, but how do you rebuild decades, no centuries of history? It just seems like such a daunting task. My family has been visting New Orleans for as long as I can remember. Not regular visits, but it was one of those towns where I felt most at home. It was always drunk or praying or singing or crying. New Orleans will never be the same again. I've no doubt that the new New Orleans will be drunk, will pray, will definately sing and will no doubt cry.

In other news, I'm struggling a bit with the new job. I like it well enough, I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I know what you're saying, that it's only been a few weeks, but I'm not patient about such things.

In my personal life, I think things are going to be ok. My matching puzzle piece and I couldn't quite match for a while, but things have settled down. I think we're moving toward something good. Cross your fingers.

I had a dream I want to tell you about, but I'll save that for another post.

Well, this wasn't as long as I should've been for the length of time I've been away. Either I'm lazy (BINGO!) or the drink I'm sipping on has already effected my skills to type (BINGO!).

Here's to ya.
