Obligatory Post

I feel like I've been neglecting this blog and the guilt is eating me up inside! Ok, not really, but the drama and passion in that first sentence was a hell of a way to start out.

Not much new in my life, but here are some things you might not need to know about me.

I got a Wii Fit and it's fun.
It is fun. I've been trying to get on in the mornings and do a little yoga and jog in place. I do fear, though, that the Wii Fit will end up being one of those fad things that people laugh about in years to come and that I will have to admit that I owned one. Ah well.

The gas prices are killing me, but at least I drive a lot.
I now spend nearly $40 to fill my tank. My car is pretty good with the gas mileage, but that benefit is offset by the long drive I take to and from work each day. The positive side (and I always seem to need to find one of those) is that I'm always up to date on the latest news. I listen to radio a lot - toggling between liberal NPR and conservative talk radio. It's an interesting mix. I don't know that I fall into either one political category more that the other. Maybe I should use the travel time to learn a language. Hmm. I've been saying THAT for about 8 years.

The weather has turned warm.
Have I ever mentioned that I have a strict rule about swimming? I don't swim after Labor Day nor before Memorial Day. This year, I broke that rule. We went swimming the weekend of Memorial Day and the pool was a little too chilly for my taste. That continued to be the case until yesterday. The weather is frikkin hot!

Every blade of grass has a tiny angel that stands over it and says "Grow! Grow!".
That's a paraphrased line because I'm too lazy to go look at the refrigerator magnet that it came off of. It should also be said that the refrigerator magnet got it from someone else, whom it credits nicely. The reason I titled this section with that is that we've started to grow vegetables! We have a VERY small back yard, but we've found enough room for tomato plants, corn, culantro and carrots. Fun fun fun. Hot hot hot. Hmm.

I see dead people's numbers!
Ok, that is a little over the top. I'm referring to my seeing Diana's numbers still. Yes, I'm on that subject again. When I tell people, they think I'm crazy. "Yo-o-ou think I'm crazy too!" (See "Meeting the Robinsons" - great flick.) Diana would appreciate, snicker about, and keep poking at me if she knew how frustrated I was getting with all of this. The other day, I was stopped at a light on one of my many drives home. I glanced down at my odometer: 66666. These things could be complete coincidences, I get that. I'm just going to throw this out - it happens at least 3 times to me everyday.

That's all for now. Seems like there's more to talk about. Of course, if you look at things through a microscope, the tip of your finger can look like the surface of some weird planet.

I'm just saying.
